Evaluation of the Fifth Convocation of Kutaisi City Council and Recommendations to the New City Council
Transparency International Georgia examined the activities of the fifth convocation of Kutaisi City Council performed during the period from 14 July 2014 until 30 August 2017.
On 25 January 2016, a new parking system was introduced in Kutaisi, establishing fees for parking cars in designated parking spots. To manage this issue, on the basis of the Kutaisi Municipality mayor's order, municipal property was directly leased for use by LLC "Parkingservice" – a company especially created by the municipality in order to address the problem of parking.
Transparency International Georgia is carrying out an evaluation of the performance of representative bodies in Georgia. On October 19, 2017, the organization published a report on the performance of the Tbilisi City Council. The latest report examines the performance of the Zugdidi City Council.
Qualification of the candidates nominated by political parties in the elections, their property and business interests represent the matter of high public interest.
