The website of the Tsageri Municipality is not Informative
The Tsageri Municipality fails to publish public information on its website in full, by which it violates the requirements of the Georgian legislation.
We have revealed the following circumstances as a result of our study:
- By Ordinance No. 17 adopted on April 6, 2016, the Tsageri Municipality established the procedure of proactive publication of public information;
- The ordinance is in line with the requirements of Ordinance No. 219 of the Government of Georgia, which establishes a high standard of proactive publication of public information;
- The common website of the Town Hall and Town Council (https://tsageri.gov.ge) has a good structure, although the information posted on it fails to match the list of information to be published proactively under the ordinance.
See detailed data on the types of information published on the common website of the City Council and City Hall of Tsageri in the tables below:
TI Georgia calls upon the City Hall and City Council of the Tsageri Municipality to eliminate the said problems in a timely manner, to fulfill the obligation taken by Ordinance No. 17 of April 6, 2016, and to ensure that the information is uploaded fully to the official website. The organization also recommends that the City Hall and City Council of the Tsageri Municipality create separate websites to ensure more transparency.
