Transparency International Georgia examined the activities of the fifth convocation of Kutaisi City Council performed during the period from 14 July 2014 until 30 August 2017.
Transparency International Georgia is carrying out an evaluation of the performance of representative bodies in Georgia. On October 19, 2017, the organization published a report on the performance of the Tbilisi City Council. The latest report examines the performance of the Zugdidi City Council.
Transparency International Georgia conducted a study of procurements conducted in the Tbilisi City Hall system from August 2014 to August 2017. The study demonstrated several problematic issues, such as low competition in tenders, awarding contracts to inexperienced and newly-founded companies through simplified process, as well as, specific procurements that are associated with high risk of corruption.
Transparency International Georgia has concluded its evaluation of the 3 year performance of the 5th convocation of Tbilisi City Council. The report examines: important legislative acts adopted by the City Council, including those on transfer of municipal property; business ties of Council officials; activities of its members and structural units, oversight activities and access to information.
