Lia Bakashvili,Head of Health Protection and Social Services Department of Sighnaghi Municipality,  did not indicate her own real estate, salary and mother's real estate in the 2024 declaration of the property status of officials.

Violation I: Lia Bakashvili owns five immovable properties, none of which is specified in the declaration:

1. Sighnaghi district, Sakobo village - 3388 sq.m. plot of land, (joint ownership)
2. Municipality of Sighnaghi, Tsnori - 674 sq.m. land plot with buildings, (joint ownership)
3. Sighnaghi municipality, Sakobo village, - 7001 sq.m. land plot with buildings (joint ownership)
4. Sighnaghi municipality, Sakobo village - 2622 sq.m. land plot with buildings, (joint ownership) 
5. Sighnaghi municipality, Mashnaari village - 4448 sq.m. land plot with buildings

Bakashvili had not declared this real estate in 2023 either. 

Violation II: Lia Bakashvili failed to declare her salary in her 2023 and 2024 asset declarations.

Violation III: Additionally, Lia Bakashvili did not declare four pieces of real estate belonging to her mother, Mariam Korghanashvili:

1. Sighnaghi municipality - 3788 sq.m. land plot
2. Sighnaghi district, Sakobo village - 1975 sq.m. land plot
3. Tbilisi, Berbuki Street - 105 sq.m. apartment
4. Tbilisi, Berbuki Street - 15 sq.m. garage

According to the law on the fight against corruption of Georgia, Lia Bakashvili, as the head of health protection and social services service of Sighnaghi municipality, is obliged to fully reflect this information in the declaration of her property status.

Transparency International Georgia calls on the Anti-Corruption Bureau to study the violations revealed in the asset declaration of Lia Bakashvili and respond appropriately in accordance with Georgian law.
