16 July, 2010
Tbilisi, Georgia – The level of corruption in Georgia has slightly fallen, Transparency International’s 2009 Corruption Perception Index suggests. The index – compiled and just released by Transparency International’s Head Office in Berlin, and combining results from seven surveys by six well-known international organizations and financial institutions – ranked Georgia 66th out of 180 countries, and gave the country a score of 4.1, as opposed to 3.9 last year.
