Brief information on the complaints filed by Tl Georgia
Transparency International Georgia (TI Georgia) monitored October 2, 2021, Municipal Elections with the help of 200 static observers and 40 mobile groups. The organization filed 42 complaints to the election commissions, 12 of which were related to the imbalances in summary protocols. After Election Day, TI Georgia checked the summary protocols of the proportional elections of the Municipal Assemblies for imbalances at the precincts where the organization had static observers.
TI Georgia has identified precincts where the sum of votes received by the election subjects in the proportional elections and invalid ballots was more than the number of voters participating in the elections; or this sum was less by at least 10 units than the number of voters participating in the elections. As a result of the verification, our mission appealed the summary protocols of 12 precincts. In these precincts, the organization asked for the invalidation of the protocols and the recount of the results.
In addition, on Election Day, TI Georgia filed a total of 30 complaints with both precinct and district election commissions. Among them is a complaint filed with the Marneuli District Election Commission, where the organization asks for the invalidation of the results of polling stations #7 and #13 due to serious violations, including multiple voting by voters.
