This mockup shows an example of one kind of diagram that might be automatically generated using the data platform that will be developed as part of this project. It highlights one potential misuse of official power: A ministry official using influence to ensure that a family business receives procurement contracts. This kind of relationship would be difficult to discover or understand without a graphical representation of the links between the individuals and organizations involved. Other forms of text and graphical output could also be generated, but we feel that this particular form of visual output would be especially effective in visualizing relationships among Georgia’s elite.
