In his 2024 asset declaration [1], Vasil Khakhulashvili [2], the chairman of the Marneuli Municipality Council Commission, failed to disclose his entrepreneurial activities and fully disclose his real estate.

Violation I: Khakhulashvili owns business shares in four companies, none of which are reflected in the declaration. It is noteworthy that he did not mention entrepreneurial activities in the 2022 [3] and 2023 [4] declarations either.

Violation II: Vasil Khakhulashvili did not transfer the business shares under his ownership to a third party, which is a direct violation of the law on the fight against corruption.

Violation III: Vasil Khakhulashvili did not fully disclose his real estate. In particular, he did not disclose the 1.400 [9] and 1.460 [10] sq.m. plots of land owned by him in the city of Marneuli.

It is also noteworthy that in 2016, Khakhulashvili [2] and his business partner, Giorgi Koiava [11], each donated 20,000 GEL to the party Georgian Dream - Democratic Georgia.

According to the law of Georgia on fight against corruption, Vasil Khakhulashvili, as a chairman of the Marneuli Municipality Council Commission, is obliged to disclose full information in his asset declaration.

Transparency International Georgia calls on the Anti-Corruption Bureau to study the violations revealed in the asset declaration of Vasil Khakhulashvili and respond appropriately in accordance with Georgian law.
