On 28 June 2022, the Georgian Young Lawyers’ Association and Transparency International Georgia filed a application with the European Court of Human Rights against allegedly unwarranted eavesdropping on lawyers and civil activists.
On May 16, Tbilisi City Court has delivered the guilty verdict against director of TV Mtavari, Nika Gvaramia and his associates. The judge Lasha Chkhikvadze found Nika Gvaramia guilty in committing the crime under the article 220 of the Criminal Code of Georgia (abuse of power) and sentenced him to 3 years and 6 months prison time.
The High Council of Justice of Georgia has started the selection process of the Supreme Court justices. Today, on June 7, the registration of candidate will be launched. After the completion of the registration anonymous voting will be conducted.

We, the undersigned organizations, make this statement in response to the case of Salome Tatishvili who was killed on a ski run in Gudauri on 10 January 2016. As it is commonly known, Salome Tatishvili, 12, was descending the ski run when a young man skiing at high speed crashed into her from behind. As a result of sustained injuries, Salome Tatishvili died on scene. Charges were brought against G. L.
